Jennifer Bachus is the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary and Acting Special Envoy for the Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy at the U.S. Department of State. A senior career diplomat, she leads U.S. efforts to advance foreign policy in the digital and cyber domains, including international cybersecurity, digital governance, and emerging technologies. Prior to this role, she served as Chargé d’Affaires and Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Prague and held diplomatic postings in Central Asia, Europe, and Washington, D.C. She holds a B.A. from Brown University and an M.A. from the College of Europe in Bruges.
